MICE Marketing & Event Management

The “Department of MICE Marketing and Event Management” is divided into two major areas: “MICE Marketing” and “Event Management”. The meeting and exhibition/event industry, also known as the MICE industry, covers four aspects: meetings, incentive travel (Incentive), large-scale conferences (Convention) and exhibitions (Exhibition). It is a leading industry that promotes the integrated development of various industries, especially early development, marketing communication and program integration. Event management is an innovative and creative thinking that integrates leisure, tourism, catering, fairs and festivals. In 2018, the department was approved by the Ministry of Education to merge the former Department of International Business and Trade and the MICE and International Marketing degree program into the “Department of MICE Marketing and Event Management”. The department has cooperated with the International Trade Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote the MICE talent training program since 2009 to cultivate industry professionals for national policy development. The curriculum of this department integrates major courses such as conferences, exhibitions, tourism, aesthetics, technology, and events to train students to become meeting, exhibition marketing professionals and project managers for event planning and execution.
